How does the third-party payer scheme work with Medi-Link?
Pay the hospital bill? We do it for you
With Medi-Link you do not pay an advance or invoice directly to the hospital. Vanbreda pays for you. This is called the 'third-party payer' arrangement. Afterwards you only pay back the amounts that are not covered by your insurance.
What should you do in case of a hospitalisation with Medi-Link?

Declare your hospitalisation
Do you have to go to hospital for an admission soon or have you been admitted unexpectedly (with an emergency admission)? If so, please inform us using the declaration form. Upon acceptance of your file, you will receive an 010 number, which will be registered by the hospital at the time of admission.

Do not pay an advance or invoice
The hospital will send the invoice of your admission directly to Vanbreda. So you do not have to pay an advance.

Receive your settlement note
Were there any costs on your invoice that are not covered by your hospitalisation insurance? If so, Vanbreda will provide you with a settlement note with a clear overview.
