Orthodontics: how do we calculate our reimbursement for these expenses?

> Have you already applied for reimbursement from your mutuality (statutory and supplementary insurance)?
> If you have an additional dental insurance that you took out yourself (private or with your mutuality), have you already applied for reimbursement here?
We then calculate the amount of our reimbursement. Here, we take into account the orthodontist's details and the statutory and additional reimbursements from the mutuality. These are the steps we follow when dealing with the expenses:
- We take into account the amount you paid to the orthodontist.
- We deduct the statutory intervention. We do this on a per-performance basis.
- We apply the policy conditions.
- We deduct the amount from the additional intervention (and possibly from any other additional insurance).
- You may have already recovered the full amount you paid by then. If so, we cannot reimburse anything for the time being because you can never recover more than you paid.
- If an amount remains after deducting the statutory and additional intervention, Vanbreda will reimburse this according to the policy conditions.
