The hospitalisation policy reimburses your costs as soon as the hospital invoices accommodation costs or a fixed amount for a day admission, and on condition that your file has been accepted.
Did you go to the emergency room and did you only get ambulatory care? That is not covered by your hospitalisation policy. You don't have to make a declaration for this kind of care: you pay these costs yourself.
In case the ambulatory care in an emergency room is directly related to a hospitalisation and in case the care falls within the covered pre and post hospitalisation period, then you can submit the ambulatory care afterwards as medical expenses within the pre and post hospitalisation period of your admission. These costs may also be eligible if you have reported a serious illness to Vanbreda, or if you have an insurance policy for ambulatory costs.
