Orthodontics: why is Vanbreda asking for the orthodontist’s invoices AND proofs from the mutuality?
It is important that we can calculate our reimbursements smoothly, correctly and clearly. As orthodontic costs can be reimbursed by various authorities, it is important that we have all the information.
1. The orthodontist confirms the services provided and the exact amount you paid. (invoice or proof document)
2. The mutuality confirms its reimbursement through a settlement note
- from the statutory insurance of the mutuality
- from the supplementary insurance of the mutuality
- Whether you are entitled to the statutory intervention or the supplementary reimbursement and how much this is depends on various conditions. To find out, contact your mutuality.
- Do you not get reimbursement from the mutuality (statutory or supplementary)? Then provide us with proof of this via: the letter of refusal or a document that they deliver.
3. Maybe you have also taken out an additional dental insurance policy (private or with your mutuality)?
- They are then also going to be able to make a refund. If so, please provide us with their detailed proof of payment.
Therefore, we ask for all calculations and settlement notes so that we can treat the costs correctly.
